Five Links Friday 12/30/16

December 30, 2016 By: Jason Bougger

The Best Articles I Read About Writing This WeekIt’s the final Five Links Friday of the year, and this time I thought I’d try something different. I picked some random sites and got their picks for best books of the year in various genres. Hope you enjoy, and I hope you decide to pick a few of these up soon!

1. Let’s start with the Nerdies! Here are the 2016 Nerdies: Nonfiction Picture Book Winners.

2. Like Fantasy and Science Fiction? Who doesn’t? Here is FantasyLiterature.com’s Favorite Books of 2016.

3. We often overlook literary fiction here (mostly because it’s not my thing), so to make up for it, here is Buzzfeed’s 19 Best Literary Debuts Of 2016.

4. And then, of course, there’s horror. Here is Goodread.com’s Top Horror Novels of 2016.

5. Finally here is Seventeen’s list of the top 10 YA books of 2016.

And that’s it for the final week of the year. I’ll be back tomorrow for a look back at 2016 and some goals for 2017. So until then, thanks for reading.

Did you read anything published this year that you feel deserves to be on this list? Leave a comment and let us know!
